Do.bookbinding established in 2021
I have been in art school since I was little, all the way to college. Many might assume that painting/art making is as easy as eating for me, however, the fact is that I have not created any works for many years. It is probably because of boredom or my high standards which also became my obstacle.
Going through the pandemic and my roller coaster life experiences from 2020 to 21, I’d say that the one fortunate outcome is my rekindled desire to make art. Instead of using ink or gouache which I used to be familiar with, I chose bookbinding. I would love to collaborate with photographers or writers to “tell the stories” together. Fundamentally, I believe that making by hand can deliver deeper emotions and warmth which machines cannot achieve.
“A story is the only way to active parts in the brain so that a listener turns the story into their own idea and experience.”— Dr. Uri Hasson
